Strolling toward the Sample Gates at Indiana University I couldn’t help but notice the spread of diverse restaurants I passed walking up Fourth Street. With just a semester left of school I was surprised at how many restaurants in Bloomington I failed to visit up to this point in my undergraduate career. I always love trying new things, especially when it comes to food, so I thought I would challenge myself to move out of my comfort zone and to explore the cuisines Bloomington had to offer before the opportunity slipped away from me. Following graduation I continue to chronicle my culinary quests.
Though I had about 108 days left of school when writing this entry, “Around the World in 108 Days” didn’t have quite the same ring to it, so I apologize for my misnomer of a blog title. I hope if you come across this blog chronicling my Bloomington and beyond culinary quest for delectable dishes you find some inspiration to do your own exploration in the realm of dining, because I truly believe it never hurts to try something new.
